Letter from the Executive Director:

At Restore, we spent this year walking closely with others in hope and healing. It was a beautiful reminder of our fundamental mission and roots: making sure the compassionate work of small groups is available to anyone in need, locally, nationally and internationally. At Restore, we emerged from the extraordinary experience of 2020 and navigated through a new landscape, recognizing that the world is forever changed. But in the midst of uncertainty, we held resolutely to the one thing that really matters: our mission to offer everyone a safe place for their emotions, doubts, grief, and hopes; a safe place for people to remember who they were created to be and what is important in life. We formed a new community partner network with the expressed purpose of working collaboratively to expand group life. We continued to offer groups in a virtual format, ministering to people from all across the country. And we finally returned to in-person group life in July, hosting our very first gathering in our new office space. We launched our podcast “Searching Inward” as a way to reach more people and create deeper dialogue around transformation. We wrote new curriculum. And we added two, amazing new staff members to our team. We are deeply grateful for all these important steps forward. For me, this year was one of deep introspection and spiritual contemplation, not to understand the “why” of the past two years, but to dip into the deep well of God’s love for peace and perseverance. We have all been through a hard time, and I think one of the most important things we can do is be honest about that for ourselves and affirm that for others. It is the way forward to healing. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us. We are every day blessed by your help, your support and your friendship.
