Sara has more than 15 years experience in the not-for-profit world including work in the pastoral care field, program management, and organizational development. She joined her first Journey to Freedom small group in 2010. She experienced a safe, caring community that helped her grow and self-examine her life during a time of personal and spiritual discernment. She knew that she had found a unique, life-changing process that could be helpful to anyone no matter what the struggle or need. She joined the Restore staff at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee in 2011 and has served as a Program Director and Director of Partnership Development for the organization. She is passionate about increasing the healing impact of small groups throughout Middle Tennessee and globally.
Sara has her Master’s degree from the Institute of Conflict Management at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, Sara has 400 hours of training in Clinical Pastoral Education from St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee and is a Certified Rule 31 Meditator.
