Prison is full of people who want to change, but have no idea how to do it.  Restore Small Groups has recently found a growing need for authentic small groups within the growing population of inmates in jail and prison. While so many programs offered to inmates are recovery-oriented and open forum, Restore Small Groups offers a closed-group environment that is stable for eight weeks with the same facilitators investing in the lives of these men and women.

Here are a few thoughts from participants within correctional facilities:

“I deal with anxiety and addiction on a daily basis. Restore has helped me to become accountable and learn to deal with some of my struggles. It has also motivated me to instill the changes that need to be made.”

“I began with a lot of fear and sadness. I have found more hope but am hurting still to find more peace in my life. Restore has changed my life for the better. It really helped me to identify my feelings and comforted me with community and people who were willing to listen.”

Rutherford County Jail in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is a short term facility with inmates serving sentences up to 8 years. Groups began in the Spring of 2014 and have been offered every season since.
