‘JOURNEY GROUPS’ FOR YOUTH
We all have stress—stuff that makes us angry, anxious or embarrassed… For high school students, the struggle is real, consuming, and all-to-often isolating. Journey Groups are small groups for high school age youth with no homework, no book, and a come-as-you-are environment. In Journey Groups everything is open for discussion. Led by two adult trained facilitators, these groups use “Journey to Freedom” as the foundation of the weekly discussions. Material is provided to trained facilitators to confidently lead a discussion-based session. Covering topics such as hope, powerlessness, motivation, shame, and feelings, this unique group experience allows youth the safety to share what they are truly struggling with, without fear of being judged or corrected.
