Partnership Testimonies

Over the last 20 years, Restore Small Groups has served a variety of organizations across the United States and the world. These partners have found groups to be a vital part of the services they offer and the mission they stand and work for.

  • YMCAs: YMCAs encounter members on a daily basis who are struggling with challenges, both physically and emotionally. Small Groups are often used as an enriching program or outreach for all members. We have found great success with integrating small groups into existing programs of the YMCA, like the After Breast Cancer Program (ABC) at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee.

  • Churches: The Church is a vital partner in offering hope and healing in the community. Likewise, the church is also a place full of hurting people who want to know someone hears and sees them. Restore Small Groups loves to come alongside a church as they deepen the impact of their existing small groups or perhaps begin the culture-shift that small groups can create.  Restore Small Groups can help a church plan for, equip and launch a small group program that will serve to impact the emotional, spiritual and mental health needs of those both in and outside the church walls. Restore Groups are endlessly adaptable to serve the specific needs that exist in your community: divorce, death of a loved one, parenting, job loss, illness, support of youth, young adult community, relationship struggles, addiction, or any human need that is keeping someone from living a full life. Though Restore groups have a strong, spiritual component, we enjoy partnering with churches that support inclusivity, compassionate care, shared vulnerability and radical grace. We want all people to feel welcome and supported in group.

  • Rehabilitation Programs: Restore groups have found special purpose serving both incarcerated people and those formally incarcerated. There is a growing need for authentic and supportive small groups for those who are seeking a new life and purpose. Restore Small Groups offers a closed-group, stable environment that  invests in the lives of men and women in need of safe, trusting and nurturing relationships.

  • Youth: It has never been more deadly or dangerous to be a young person growing up in our world. The statistics are staggering. Anxiety & depression, grief & loss, pornography & sex, addictions, eating disorders, trauma, bullying, cutting, and crime are at all-time highs. Even youth obesity has grown to epidemic proportions. We know that these challenges are not limited to one age group or demographic. Restore has been working with schools, youth groups, and teens internationally and locally to bring the Journey to Freedom experience to high school students in need of hope. No reading, no book, just intentional discussion from the Journey to Freedom curriculum led by facilitators with a heart for helping the voiceless find their voice. We call these groups ‘Journey Groups.’
